Description

Ox eye Sunflower – Heliopsis helianthus

Ox Eye sunflower produces a plethora of 2-3 inch yellow flowers on 3-5 foot stems from summer into the fall.  This perennial plant is bushy and grows in clumps.

Often found on the edge of the woods, Ox eye makes a great border, beautiful in cottage gardens and other low maintenance plantings.

Care:

The Ox eye Sunflower prefers sun but will tolerate light shade.  This great low maintenance plant will tolerate any soil and is drought resistant.

Ox eye is hardy in Zones 4-9 and attracts bees and butterflies.  It is also pest and deer resistant.
